In order to have your diet be a success, you must want to lose the weight more than you don't want to lose the weight.
Does that sound obvious? Sometimes it's not so obvious to us. We tend to cling to our habits, wanting to stay with the known. So even though you are trying to change your eating habits, there is a natural tendency to fight change.
One way to deal with your resistance to change when it comes to eating is to become very aware of the pros and cons for you. Think about what would be good about changing your eating and losing the weight, and what would be bad about it. Then determine for yourself if it's worth it.
