Dear Maria...
I did something I've never done before. I asked a good friend of mine to tell me what she thinks about my problem with my weight.
Wow -- what an eye-opener! To hear about what it looks like from someone else's point of view was amazing. And she's someone I really trust.
Here's what she said. She sees me go on diet after diet, and then I always end up saying the diet plan doesn't work. To Maddy, it seems like I don't really have any intention of losing the weight. It's just the same old story every time. She even went so far as to say she's sick of hearing about my latest weight-loss diet all the time.
In fact, she said, "I just want to yell at you, don't you know this one isn't going to work just like all the others? Why don't you find a new way to lose the weight -- join a gym, or go to a nutritionist, or go get counseling...something! If you keep doing the same thing, you'll end up in the same place."
I know she's right.
