If you are working hard to
achieve something as important as losing the weight, if you are asking yourself to
eat less, exercise more, keep track, figure out your feelings, change your
behavior, keep your focus, persist, not give up, resist being tempted, be patient,
ride out setbacks—then you need to give yourself something in return. What
might you give yourself? It’s an individual matter but a pivotal one. Think
about how you might add a little extra TLC to your life while you are losing
the weight.
