Does what you characteristically think of yourself and others have anything to do with you being overweight? Let’s ask this question again another way. Do you have a particular template for yourself and others? And is this template the cause for you being overweight?
How might such a self and other template work? First of all, it might influence each and every experience. For example, if you’re mistrustful of others, you probably go into a relationship with more anxiety and worry than someone who is trusting. Anxiety and worry can take its toll on you. To calm yourself, you might turn to overeating or eating particularly fattening foods. Or you might need calorie-rich food as an antidote or an outlet to compensate for your lack of satisfaction in relationships.
Being mistrustful is just one example. What would be an example of the kind of template you use in daily life? And does your use of this template contribute to you being overweight?
