Does being an overweight woman matter to you? If so, what matters? Your health? Your appearance? Your level of self-esteem?
If your sense of self-esteem is affected by your excess weight, do you know why this is so? Do you base your own self-esteem on what others think of you? Is your self-esteem chronically low, so that your excess weight is only one of the things dragging you down? Do you second-guess yourself when it comes to how good or how bad you feel about yourself, and create less than adequate self-esteem this way? Do you lose self-esteem every time you fail to lose some weight?
What about you and your own self-esteem? What is it doing to you as a person? And, of course, what is it doing to your motivation to lose weight, to your actual weight-loss process, and to your ability to maintain lost weight? It’s important to see the connection between your level of self-esteem and the weight-loss difficulties you are having.
