Any effort you make to shed those extra pounds wil sooner or later bring you face-to-face with an unattainable goal. When this happens, you certainly won’t feel good about yourself. An unattainable goal may even force you to do the unthinkable, quit trying altogether to reduce your weight.
The unattainable goal might be something relatively small like staying on a diet while at the restaurant on Saturday. Or, it could be a much bigger goal that is unattainable, such as losing an unrealistic number of pounds in the first month. Whatever the unattainable goal is, your job will be to adjust this goal so it is a better fit for you. You might even have to disengage altogether from this goal if you are to continue making good weight loss progress.
Please keep this in mind.
