What if you saw a warning label on different foods that said “Danger, Causes You to Get Fat,” would you heed the warning? Well, would you? Think carefully before you answer. You might, like many other people, react badly to being told what you should or shouldn’t do and ignore the warning.
What if instead of a warning label there was a different kind of label on certain foods that said “Why is it good to limit the amount you eat of this?” or “Why can eating too much of this food make you fat?” or even “Who could help you not eat this when you are trying to lose some weight?”
Would a kinder, gentler, more thought-provoking question rather than a stern, danger warning work better for you? What do you think?
