How do you compare, and whom do you compare yourself with? Do you make upward as well as downward comparisons with other women? In other words, do you choose to compare yourself with women who you feel are superior to you in body shape and in looks? Or do you choose women who you see as inferior to you in body shape and in looks?
You may not realize it, but comparing yourself upward to someone superior might indicate you want to improve yourself. Making a downward comparison, on the other hand, might be your way of protecting your self-image or a way to feel satisfied with yourself, your shape and weight, and your looks.
